Burnley and District U3A will comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws and regulatory frameworks.

Burnley and District U3A’s Data Protection Policy sets out the requirements that Burnley and District U3A has to gather personal information for membership purposes. The policy details how personal information will be gathered, stored and managed in line with data protection principles and the General Data Protection Regulation. The policy is reviewed on an ongoing basis by Burnley and District U3A committee members to ensure that Burnley and District U3A is compliant. Information we collect from users of this website

Burnley and District U3A manage this web site and take the privacy of information provided by visitors to this website seriously.

We do not capture or store personal information about individuals who browse this website, except where this information is given voluntarily such as through e-mail or an online form. We do however collect statistical information which is not personably identifiable (see Information to improve our website below).

What we do with personal information

Where you choose to complete an online form the personal information you give us is used by Burnley and District U3A to enable us to respond to any request, complaint or comment that you have made.

Burnley and District U3A will safeguard your information and will not pass it on to any third party without the express permission of the individual or unless required to do so by lawful authority.

Information to improve our website

Photo Group Calendar 2019 – Now Available

The Photography Group have once again produced a calendar for 2019 of images taken by the group. The calendar is a totally new design and will be on sale at the monthly meetings for the (subsidised) price of £3.00 each. Selling fast so hurry to get your copy.


Fancy Becoming A Member?

If you fancy joining Burnley and District U3A and attending one or more of our Special Interest Groups please visit our How To Join Burnley and District U3A page. Guests are welcome to attend up to two monthly meetings at a fee of £2.00 per meeting or to attend one Special Interest Group meeting as a taster session. If you have questions or just want to know more about the local U3A you will be welcome to chat with one of our Greeters at the monthly meeting from 2:00pm. The monthly meetings are held at Nazareth Unitarian Chapel, Knight Hill, Padiham Lancs BB12 8JH (see our location) and commence at 2:30pm on the fourth Thursday of each month.
