“If music be the food of love, play on”…..a well known line from Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and one which suggests the raison d’etre of our music group.

We enjoy a wide range of music, generally on a theme proposed by members, and new ideas are always welcome. Each programme usually consists of a variety of music, orchestral, instrumental or vocal, and covers a wide time scale, from Bach (or earlier) to music from the movies and musicals.

We are a small friendly, intimate group and no musical knowledge is needed to come and enjoy a pleasant couple of hours.

The Group meets at the Community Hall on Middlesex Avenue, Burnley, on the third Thursday of the month starting at 10.30 a.m. and lasts for around two hours with a coffee and chat break in the middle.

Next meeting will be on Thursday 20th December at 10:30am. in the Community Centre, Middlesex Avenue, Burnley, when we will be sharing ‘Christmas Music’.
